Glove Actually Puppet Theatre is a registered small business, operating locally in Gloucestershire. The puppeteer, Frances, has experience working with children after a career in Steiner education, mainly working with children ages 6 to 14. She is a creative storyteller, able to capture children’s imagination and keep them entertained.

In the past, Frances has used puppetry to work with environment groups to entertain and explain environmental concepts and support protected areas. Inspired by Robin Wall Kimmerer and Rupert Sheldrake, Frances is developing this area of puppetry, reflecting a fundamentally different approach to how we see nature and our involvement with it.

Developing and performing your own puppet show

Two children can fit comfortably and three would be cosy. More children can swap in and out. A maximum number of five children is best per event.

Children are guided and supported to perform little plays after they have had a chance to play and try out on their own. Children get huge satisfaction from doing this.

There is no pressure for them to physically perform as they are hidden from view and can let the puppets speak for them. Children enjoy the applause after the last puppet has bowed and the final curtain dropped.

Prices from £300 for 1 hour plus 15 minutes for the show.
